In a more disturbing not so recent trend I am seeing more and more Baptists going the route of “Bad Attitude Baptists”.  Now don’t think I am referring to Baptists that have standards, are against sin, seperate from worldliness, etc.  That’s not it at all.

The attitudes I am referring to are copied from “famous” evangelists and pastors.  Just because they preach or write a certain way or come across very boldly and caustic doesn’t mean you should be a clone of them.

When you clone your personality into that mold you always come across the wrong way to other people.  The Bible tells us to follow their faith (Hebrews 13:7), not imitate their preaching or writing style.

In Seminary I heard one thing over and over: If you see two men exactly alike in the ministry, one is fake and not needed.

Could this be the case of real churches losing people to liberal churches?

Are you exactly like somebody we know?
